Hey guys,
New android user here so apologies if this is a stupid question.
I am planning on mounting a tablet (Nexus 7) into the dash of my car and wondered how I could set it up to basically sleep and wake up in sync with the cars ignition. The Nexus will be constantly powered by micro USB as I will hard wire it and and an adapter into the car. This is what I'm trying to achieve...
Effectively I'm trying to get the tablet to do 3 things:
Wake up from sleep when ignition on (and power starts flowing through the usb)
Go to sleep when ignition off (and power stops flowing through the usb)
Never timeout to sleep
Is there a setting/app I can use to achieve this on stock android or am I looking at a rooting the device situation...?
