I'm a frequent flyer and have noticed recently that my phone has started to reboot when I power off.

I have to wait for the phone to reload before trying to power off again, which usually works on a second attempt.

Am I inadvertently causing the reboot or is something faulty?

Thanks for your help in advance!

A suggestion - don't turn-off your phone. If you are flying, set your phone in Airplane mode instead (Settings - Wireless & Networks - Airplane Mode).

Regarding the issue, it's difficult to say. Perhaps a certain app is causing the problem. If you can't identify it, then perhaps, a factory reset is the solution. Don't forget to backup all your data if you decide to do that.

I think Usta is possibly right. I had the same problem and it took a while to figure out the culprit. In my case it was an app called Vlingo. Uninstalled it and the problem disappeared. I had to factory reset and add my purchased apps one at a time until I was able to identify the app causing the restart. Laborious but couldn't think of another way.
