    Hello All,

One thing that is bugging me about my desire. When I turn the phone off, for instance at a comedy gig. The phone is easily turned on with just the slightest of touches.

Anyone know if its possible to change this?

I get this too, I hit the on button at inopportune times. My "solutions" are to either get a case, or when (if!) you feel the vibrate, take the battery out. My "solutions" aren't very good.

Also, the "htc quietly brilliant" with the loudist noise is beautifully ironic and bad if in a quiet place....

Personally, I don't turn it off, I just switch to silent mode. aside from not disturbing anyone, I can still use it to look something up or whatever if I need to.

The desire is awesomely customisable as some media duped people are always saying but fails on the basics, like the on off button as you say. If it is so loud on start up, why is it sooo quiet when playing music through it's crap little speaker?

all phone speakers are crap for playing music. Anyone that considers the iPhone speaker to be good at doing this, is absolutely clueless about speakers.

    mine too.

Do you not get the HTC Desire green writing on a white background followed by a loud noise?

Not that it matters to me as I've got the Silent Boot app installed...

I'm guessing branded Desires have a different booting screen than unbranded ones. My girlfriend has a Desire on Orange and she doesn't get the "quietly brilliant" that my unbranded one does.
