I have a Captivate (Galaxy S) And I'm trying to use it a a remote for PowerDVD 11 Ultra. But for some reason, it can't find a server.

I'm using my network card as a hotspot and so I am connected directly to my desktop. That all works. Internet sharing and all. I'm just not detecting any powerDVD servers. Any clue as to what's going on? (Disabled firewall, FYI)

You'd usually need to install two apps, one on your phone and another on your PC. For controlling the PC I use UnifiedRemote.

Open PowerDVD on you're computer. There are five colored tabs across the top. Click the purple one called 'Device'. ;)

(put your firewall back up. when you get the chance.)
