Ok, Day 2 on my Powerskin and I love it... However... I plug it into my PC's USB and the phone is not seeing it as being connected to a computer, so in essence, I can't trasnfer files to the SD Card with the skin on.

Is this normal? Is this defective?

My phone is stock, non-rooted or anything like that.

edit: When I take it out of the Powerskin, it works as expected.

Ok, talked to support and they did state with certainty that this case is NOT supposed to impeede any connection passthrough to the phone.

They suggested that I take it back to the retail store and try a replacement case.

The powerskin is a charge only device. You will just have to slip the powerskin off the corner to plug your USB cable in. If you look at the adapter that plugs the powerskin into your phone, you will see only two contactors, not the four or five you see on your original USB cable. The powerskin has certainly been nice for me, but that is one slight annoyance that I would rather not have.

I have the Powerskin too. The first time I plugged it into the laptop and it would not connect really had me puzzled and I admit it took me some time to realize what was going on (thcrbz is correct).

Ultimately, in the end, the store rep and I figured this out too and called back to support to inform them that they were passing false information. lol!

I just ordered the powerskin, I have never been able to actually hold one in my hand. Is it silicon? or hard plastic?
