I've just started using a Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet (very nice machine: suits my purposes perfectly) with ICS, and I installed the A.I.type keyboard. (I tried to use SwiftKey, but it doesn't work on this tablet.) Anyway, A.I.type works fine except for one thing: in Dolphin HD browser (my browser of choice), I can't use predictive text in a search box. SwiftKey has the same restriction: "SwiftKey does not offer predictions in text fields that have their own autocorrect/autocomplete, like URL bars and search boxes." I find this quite mysterious, as I'm quite happy to use predictive text everywhere that I type. I can't find any documentation for A.I.type which suggests it has the same restrictions as SwiftKey, nor can I find a way round it.

    Any suggestions?

Swype's predictions for me works in the default Google Search app (I don't use Dolphin anymore).
