Hi!

We've developed a utility application for those of you who are in need of adding prefixes, suffixes or making other changes to the numbers you are calling, still being able to keep the numbers as they are in your contact lists.

Prefixer works like an on-the-fly filter for your outgoing calls, making sure that all calls are made according to the rules you've set up. For example:

* If you haven't added the country code to all of your contacts and do not want to add it to all numbers you call manually - set up a rule in Prefixer to add the country code when needed!

* Want to block your caller ID for specific calls? Set up a rule in Prefixer to add the code in front of the numbers you call!

* Only want your caller ID blocked during weekends? Just change the day and time parameters in Prefixer according to your needs!

* Using Centrex or other PBX-like services and don't want to destroy your contacts with long prefixes that will take forever to clean up when you're not using the Centrex anymore? Set up a rule in Prefixer!

* ...

The possibilities are endless!

Prefixer 0.6.1 is out on Android market, free of charge!

Here's more information about Prefixer on our homepage:
Prefixer - 253

The latest update of Prefixer is now released on Android Market with the following features:

★ New function: Call confirm with three different modes; standard, manual and challenge (party filter)
★ Movable rules (up/down) to be able to prioritize them
★ Added application preferences
★ Added example expressions to the "When number matches"-dialog
★ Fix for users with HTC phones and Cyanogen Mod

The call confirm action with challenge mode will make Prefixer popup a call confirmation dialog with a math challenge that needs to be solved before the call is made. This action in conjunction with a day and time condition set to weekends and night time could possibly prevent drunk calls, minimizing the risk of having to regret calls later... ;-)

A QR code for the "party rule" (and a lot more of help and information) is available on our homepage: http://www.253below.com/prefixer

This app looks very promising, but I lack one feature. It would be very useful if you could select what group of contacts a rule should apply for.

For example the group "family" one might want to add the prefix #31# to show CID if that is hidden by default.
For the group "business" one might want to add a prefix that puts those calls on the correct bill.

Please let me know if this is already possible to do and I haven't figured out how to do it ;)

Just wanted to inform you all that Prefixer is now updated with some new and anticipated functionality.
The release notes for version 0.9.1 are:

★ Added on/off widget
★ New condition: Member in group (for Android 2.0 and later)
★ New condition: Roaming
★ Updated icons
★ Updated compatibility with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)

Hence, it's now possible to set up rules that trigger for specific contact groups and rules that trigger when your phone is roaming.

Enjoy!
