I'm a developer looking to grab an Android phone that is cheap (as in monthly plan cheap). I don't mind paying $300 for a phone for development purposes, but I'd really like to have it around and in a full feature mode for testing reasons.

Since I already have a phone for daily use I just want something with low to no minutes and data/text. I was looking at Virgin Mobile and BoostMobile (Prevail) but they seem under powered and may be useless for development.

So I was hoping to get a Droid X or something else and unlock it and go prepaid if possible. Is this type of thing possible and if so give me some options if you can.

    Thanks

I believe that T-Mo has data only plans available. I don't use there service so I'm not positive but that would be a good way to go to keep the monthly bill lower.
