    Hey peeps,

Verizon is charging an arm and a leg and I want to find someone else. Are there prepaid voice plans that work with S3 Verizon LTE phones? Or another question, how do I get my S3 from Verizon to work with another provider?

    1) The phone will only work on Verizon towers - that means a Verizon prtner.

    2) If the phone was used in a Verizon prepaid plan, they won't allow anyone else to activate it on their towers.

In regards to your response for #1, I thought Verizon unlocked the phone in one of the updates to the point where it could be used both internationally, and on other carriers?

To be clear, I'm currently under contract with Verizon; I don't have a prepaid plan with them.

So the only way to use this phone is with Verizon or their partners? Is there any other alternative? I basically just want a way to cheaply make calls using this phone.

Like could I cancel the contract, unlock the phone, and use an app to make calls over wifi?
