Help Press+Hold Doesn't Work!

Hi. I'm new to this forum

So I just got my Desire HD in the mail yesterday and I've been playing around with it. I just tried to delete apps by press+holding them, but when I press and hold any part of the screen (not just apps) nothing happens. The notification bar just says "screen locked". I can't delete any apps or widgets (I have an annoying weather one on my home screen that I'd really like to get rid of).

Very strange, are you carrier branded or using an alternative launcher?

Yeah. I'm using GoLauncher EX CyanogenMod theme, and I'm branded to Telus.

It's definitely the launcher, because it was fine when I uninstalled. I don't want to keep using the stock rom though.. it's kinda ugly haha.

If you go to the homescreen and press the menu button, there should be an option to lock/unlock the homescreen against editing.
