Is there a way to set the screen NOT to lock automatically?

I'm thinking of something similar to the Samsung Rogue. The screen can time out, go dark, but unless you lock the phone, the touch screen stays active - or can be triggered to start up by any hard key?

Anyone found an app or a setting that will do this?

    Thanks!

Sorry but I can't answer your question, but you do realize that if it doesn't lock you'll be dialing numbers and launching apps when it's in your pocket?

I think what he means is that he wishes the screen lock had an option like "on, off, manual" so that if you don't want it on all the time (like at work when it sits on your desk for 8 hours), the screen lock is not active. If you are going to put the phone in your pocket, then you would have to remember to enable the screen lock.

Yea there's a beta app called MyLock in the market. It will do what you want it to do. Keep in my its still in beta so there will be updates as bugs are found.

"No matches found" using the bar code and nothing found when searching the market.

EDIT: Just noticed it's for ver. 2.0 and up

Give screebl a shot. It doesn't so much prevent screen lock in general, as it prevents timeout while you are using the phone. It bases the decision to lock the phone based on its orientation. So as long as the phone is not laying on a perfectly flat surface, it will not shut off/lock.

This is one feature I really miss from my Black Berry. It's really annoying when I have it sitting on my desk and I have to keep unlocking it.

There's a pay app in the market, Keyguard Disabler, at $1.49. Rated at 4 stars with 500-1000 downloads. But I didn't see any reviews that mentioned the Moment.

One review said it did not work with the Moment. I bought it anyway because it is exactly what I have been looking for. So far, works great.

UPDATE: Startup on boot does not work. Must be manually invoked each time phone is powered up. Other than that, works fine.

Actually, that seems like a good "bug" to me. :) No worries about forgetting to turn it off after a re-boot.

There is a "check mark" option for "Start on Boot" so even if this bug were fixed, you could still prevent it from starting.
