Starting in 2010, the United Kingdom will apply a 17.5% Value Added Tax (VAT) on the on the total cost of your order, including all shipping costs and insurance. A 6.5% duty may apply to some items in your order.

Google do say they will be selling it on the .co.uk and their other sites as soon as possible. Be interesting to see what the price will be, as usually it's a lot more than having it imported.

Do you think they will bump up the price? Not having to pay the import tax would be a boon.

They wouldn't make it more expensive than buying from the US site..

Well, someone has to pay the tax, but usually it's like a $ =

Compare Apple and Microsoft, you'll see they all do it.

This should probably go in another thread, but...

The N1 is using the same adaptor (mini usb) as the G1, right? So, no need to order one?

That'll be $19.99 off at least.

But it won't have Google all over it? :p What will you have etched on your Nexus One?

Hopefully Google will stick to their "Don't be evil" mantra.

    lol

Something sickeningly personal, just to keep the re-sale value down ;)

Nah, I doubt I'll have anything, to be honest.

If the G1 has got Mini USB you are unlucky (or buy an adaptor), the N1 does have MicroUSB (the same but smaller)
