Support Problem sending e-mail

    I have a Droid 2, purchased in October 2010. My e-mail account is with
    Earthlink, and my e-dress is with Mindspring (I'm a long-time customer).
    I can receive e-mail just fine.

    I have never been able to send e-mail. My settings for outbound server
    are smtpauth.earthlink.net port 587 my e-mail ID my PW

    I have NOT checked 'use secure connection'

    I HAVE checked 'Verify Certificate'

    All the above per Earthlink tech support.

    Appreciate any help/guidance.

    Which email client are you using? The stock android email client asks for security type (which in your case should be "none") and the "require sign-in" box checked.
