Howdy, Im new to the forum and not at all sure where you folks would like a possible bug report in the latest update 4.5.596 placed here, so feel free to move it if needed. Issue: password length on wireless networks must be 8 characters or more before they will be accepted after the latest update. In a nutshell: using a DROIDX have been signing into a wireless network useing a 5 digit password for months. After a factory reset on the DROIDX the connect key would not be highlighted or available when I tried to sign in to the network. Trial and error showed me that the DROIDX now required a minimum of 8 characters for the password before the connect key highlighted and became available. So if you have a problem connecting to a wireless network with less then 8 characters in the password after reseting or updating a DROIDX then change your wireless network password to 8 characters or more. I notified Motorola but the guy there seemed to think it was impossible to have less then 8 character in a password . Lol So I doubt they will act to correct the bug any time soon. On the plus side... Verizon call center actually took interest in the issue. Hope the info helps someone.
