I have been using iSyncr to sync my Nexus One to iTunes. It usually works fine, albeit verrrry slowly (takes 4 hours to do the initial sync of about 2500 songs/16GB).

Today, I set it syncing and my Nexus One mysteriously took itself out of USB mode. I hadn't touched anything - my phone's display just suddenly went from the orange Android saying "USB Storage in Use" to the green Android saying "tap here to access files over usb from a PC" or something to that effect.

It seems to happen only while iSyncr is syncing.

Any ideas? I like iSyncr but if this keeps up, it won't be useful.

    Thanks!

    Bump - anyone?

I've discovered something new. It seems to be an Android problem, not an iSyncr problem. I was copying files manually to my SD card over USB yesterday, and suddenly Windows gave me an I/O error. When I looked at the phone screen, it had gone back to the "tap here to enable USB".

This just started with Android 2.2.2 (build FRG83G), which Google pushed earlier this week.

Anyone? I'm just running a stock WinXP SP3; not much has changed here.

Have you tried different ports and / or a different USB cable? both can have hard lives...
