    A few simple questions:-

    1. Are you able to send MMS's to other, non iPhone 4, phones?

    2. Can you receive MMS's from your friends iPhone 4?

Also, double check your MMS APN settings

in menu>settings>wireless+network>mobile networks>access point names you should have an entry in there for mms. go in and check settings against your provider's requirements (just google [network name] mms settings. Eg. Orange mms settings and do some digging)

This might be totally unnecessary information for you but anyway. It stumped me a bit that the way of sending photos from the gallery moved a little. It used to be under Share and when I could not find it I thought something was wrong with my phone settings. Until I realized it's under the label "send to" instead and these two options are toggled by the menu button.

I was having a similar issue... and then i realised that when i connected to wifi, my data connection automatically turned off. So my mms were just sat there waiting, even when data was back on. Only deleting the message and sending fresh when not on wifi worked.

That was stock app and handcent message app btw

Ya I wound up getting handcent I used it before and like it but wanted to try and go with the stock SMS app. It is weird that some thing like that is not fixed but in the long run it is nice have handcent.
