Problem !??

We'll need more than "it isn't working" to have much chance of identifying the problem.

Rooting alone shouldn't stop the IR blaster working, so what other modifications have you made? Did the problem arise the moment you rooted, or some time later? What tests have you tried (different apps to use it, booting in safe mode to see whether it works there, etc)?

Do you have the gravity app installed? Are you using tasker in combination with the proximity sensor? Any app that is forcing the proximity sensor online all the time will interfere with IR operation.

There was also a known bug with Samsung pay (there was a fix pushed) where it forced the proximity sensor on all the time. What root did you use (there was one that did not trip the knox meter that disables Samsung Pay)

If you have another camera you can look at the proximity sensor with it and see if it's on.
