Help Problems accessing exchange ActiveSync account

I have had a lot of trouble attempting to set up university email account on my htc wildfire phone. The university uses Microsoft exchange OWA email server... after trawling through a few forums with different suggestions i have managed to get my phone to connect to the email server... however now it has an error message that says 'your Microsoft exchange sever account does not have permission to synchronize with your current settings'

Any suggestions on what i can do?? it says to contact your exchange server administrator.. but I don't know who that is!!

I didn't have this problem when i set up the email using my blackberry.

I'm totally clueless now on what to do!!
