Help Problems updating

Tried to update my SGS2 today. It was originally 2.3.3 and when I connected to Kies it said an update was available. So I went through the motions but after dl'ing it stoppet on 1% during installing. So I searched the web for tips and tried ODIN with FW from XDA. This however stops on factoryfs.img. I've left it alone for about 30mins without any progress. Then I tried the Kies again and it stopped on 23%. The phone won't boot at all now so I need some help to get this going. How long should the ODIN procedure take and how long should the KIES procedure take?
