ok, i have searched and have seen 1 other thread like this with the same problem, but its in the Facinate forum (on XDA), so i dont know if what was aid on there applys to the Galaxy s. but basically, when i go to back up my current rom, it comes up with a message like this: [IMG]
what was said in the fascinate forum is that i need to flash CWM with odin for it to work properly. is this correct? and if so, how do i go about it?

thanks and sorry for being a dumbass if this is stupidly obvious.

    Oliver

P.S im using hardcore's speedmod k12h 500hz kernal if that makes any difference to anything.

    Ok I had same problem.
I installed voodoo 5.01 beta something for a lag fix.
    Was quite happy.
Wanted to upgrade ROM to Darkys ROM v8.0 using CWM
Read that voodoo already included CWM.
Downloaded and used rommanager app to boot into CWM recovery and then tried a backup before I did the ROM upgrade.
    Same error.
I then upgraded Voodoo using ODIN to Voodoo 5.1 and problem went away.
    Able to back up
Was able to install Darkys ROM (Highly recommended option btw)
I am not sure how you loaded CWM but the above may assist.
