Help Problems with Kernel??

Hi Guys Is there anyway to install a new kernel onto the gt540?? Id assume that reflashing only does a certain amount to the phone as it seams as the kernel is exactly the same every time i reflash to a differant ROM to try eliminate my crashing/reboot errors

Any Help would be good, Thanks!
