I got a new 16GB SDCard for my Hero, but when I try to partition it in recovery mode it doesn't work and ends up getting trashed.
I'm using the Amon-Ra recovery image and within the "Partition SDCard" menu I'm setting 0MB for SWAP, 768MB for EXT2 and the remainder for FAT32; it then goes ahead and prepares the SDCard. When I reboot my phone, however, it tells me that the SDCard has been removed.
Using the disk management component within WindowsXP it only shows that the 768MB partition has been created but not formatted.
Can I use adb fs to create the partitions and format them manually or is it likely that my SDCard is shot?
