It seems that there is something seriously wrong with the People app (possibly since the recent upgrade?) When I add a new contact into the list, it does not show up when I try to scroll to them, although I can search for it and find it. Indeed, when I press the Search button to carry out the search the person appears in the resulting list.

They also appear ib the Phone listing, but not in the listing for Dialler One.

Is anyone else seeing something like this?

Yes! I noticed this the other day and thought I was going mad! Was certain I had added a new contact (name and number) but couldn't find it when trying to call it via Dialler.... but when I went into Contacts itself (which shows all my gmail as well as phone contacts) there it was.

I think that I finally got to the bottom of it - there are three contacts lists on my phone - Google, SIM and Phone. It seems that my most recent additions were to the Google account, but I was not showing it in the View options. This meant that it did not display those numbers, but the Search did check them.

Somehow I had selected Google as the list when I added a contact some time ago, and all the following ones also selected Google.

So - the moral is, make sure that you add contacts to the right list

All my view options were set to show my google, sim and phone contacts so not the solution for mine... will just have to keep an eye on this to see if it happens again
