Is there a program I can run while I'm sleeping that will shut off the main programs and communications in addition to slowing the processing speed to save battery?

overclock widget and setcpu can scale down your cpu when the screen is off which increases battery life, but you need to be rooted. unrevoked works as root method

long press the power button and turn off mobile internet or whatever the option is called while your sleeping, there is no point to have 3g connection if all you are having it on for is texts/calls

you don't need any app or anything to conserve power. it lasts pretty long imo.

disable the mobile network at night. No data will be going through, but you will still be able to receive phone calls and texts.
