So, as you fellow Evoers know, the evo v's battery is deffinitely not the best, which is why im starting this thread on some ways to significantly improve the battery life! So, do not be afraid, leave a comment and tell me how you improve your battery life, and after a week or so I'll update the project: Energy! post with your comments, along with mine!

Flash a custom kernel. Then underclock to 1ghz. Then undervolt (if possible) -50mV. DO NOT use the performance governer.

Install Greenify and hibernate apps you don't use....

Uninstall apps you don't use. Try and remove bloatware.

Don't use widgets unless they have to. They are extensions of apps and run 24/7, thus consuming battery.

When you charge your phone try and do it to 100%, you can also calibrate it but it has been proven a MYTH

(For more info on that read THIS http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2170039)

Don't use your phone as a laptop unless you want it do drain faster.

    USE COMMON SENSE. :D
    And you'll be fine!

    What else did I miss...

I have an extended battery which I definitely recommend. Along with everything mentioned in the above post also make sure to keep location access off until you need to use it. I don't know how accurate it is but with the most current ROM I use (newest angry bean) my phone seems to use more battery if I reset the phone, so I recommend powering off then manually power on.

I too would recommend an extended battery. It completely solved my battery problems.

Or just a spare battery. Majority of the time I don't need it so an extended battery would be overkill, but a spare is cheap and I can just bring it with me when I know I'll need it.

It could just be in my head, but, bumpcharging has seemed to help out A LOT.
