Hope someone looks into that and lets us know. I would if I had the know how. I am still eagerly waiting for stock 2.2 so that my front facing camera will work with face chat. Cheers for the luck of the Irish!

    as am i :p
and according to vamp, the old kernels we have will work so it should be a pretty seemless transition, no building fr the ground up.

In the announcement posted above, Sprint didnt mention anything about implementing a graphics driver for the Transform in the OTA Froyo release-- something that is sorely missing in 2.1. A graphics driver would arguably have at least as big of an impact on the Transform's performance than Froyo would. But maybe the meaning of a graphics driver is too technical for average people to grasp, so Sprint chose not to mention it in their announcement. It'll be interesting to see.

No matter, I plan on implementing my own drivers in as well. In the new Froyo ROMs that SDX will be whipping up for us, I have no doubt there will be some nice drivers and Froyo goodness minus the crap.

If that happens then I will be looking to go back to the Transform myself. Froyo along with Video drivers, front facing camera, slide out keyboard and a great form factor will turn this phone into a winner. :D

I really do hope that they update sometime this week, cause I talked to Samsung, and like always they have "no idea" about what I'm talking about even though I showed them the link. They're customer service is horrible -.-

Haha, we don't have to worry about the official update anymore. The official Froyo source code has been released for the Transform and SDX is already working on a few builds for us.
