I'm thinking about rooting my Fascinate soon. I just wanted to know the pros and cons of rooting since I have never rooted one before. Any tips on how to root it? Also, if I decide to root it, what are some good roms I should put on my phone?

The only con in my opinion would be voiding your warranty, but Verizon has no idea if your phone is rooted or not.

I've used nothing but Super Clean roms since rooting my Fascinate. I highly recomend it.

I'm completely new to rooting. Would like to know what flashing voodoo kernals and cyanogen roms are. Also any guides for me to follow to get super clean on?

Assuming you Odin it back to bone stock before returning.

Superclean 2.2 seems the be the most stable and functional.

I am on SC 2.8 with the EC10 Kernel. Runs smooth as silk.

I've been running 2.9.2 with few issues. Hiccups here or there. An issue or two a week where I need to reboot or pull the battery.

I'm using the undervolted kernel also.
