    Hi Everyone,

I got a Flexiview FV-1 Android 2.2 box and the controller/remote that comes with it makes a potentially fun unit, not so fun. Especially when it comes to games that I'd like to make.

With that said, I would like to get a real dual analog style controller connected. I found an application to do that in the Android market, but I need to root the device before I'll be able to install it.

Has anyone had success in rooting this device? If so, what method did you use?

I've tried z4root and gingerbox (whatever the hell it's named) both didn't work.

I'm also about to try the clockwork method, which I'm running into x64 -> i686 library problems with. I'm going to try a live distro for connection and rooting.

Thanks and I'm happy to be part of the forums! :)

I figured I'd post on this. I was able to get the system rooted by using the latest z4root. The version that I originally downloaded was 1.1, I finally downloaded 1.3 and it worked like a champ. :)
