For quite some time I was using my ps3 controller and an OTG cable to play games on my G6. All of a sudden now the joysticks will not work with any of the games it used to with. The dpad and buttons still work but thats it. I haven't the slightest clue where to start to fix this issue. Any ideas? I'm running android version 8.0.0.

I have a ps2 ps3 and ps4 since there is no backward compatibility between them. I chose to use the ps3 controller because I don't use it as much as the ps4. I got a clip on phone holder for it so I can play easier which is another reason I'm not switching to the ps4 controller. Turns out it was the controller though cuz the ps4 controller does work. Problem solved...now I gotta pony up for a new one. Oh well such is life.

Well, I got excited about the ps4 and purchased it when it came out only to be disappointed. Won't be making that mistake again. I'll do what I did before and wait a year ir so until it hits rock bottom pricing.

Just be careful when posting, the admin is not that friendly in there.. I tried an account over there several years ago, and tried to send them a friendly "hi, how is it going?" ergo, have no answer, and the sever kept doing the searching on it.. Still there was no friends I really connected to on there, so tread carefully.
