PSX4Droid - Finally out!

What sites is everyone using for roms? My usual one only just got PSX and its all forum based. Any reliable alternatives?

I'm ripping my games from originals, but dedicated PSX BT trackers are your best bet, or sites for abandon-ware (PSX games, sega saturn, dreamcastc etc.) ie. underground-gamer

As for running the games, I got rid of Sense-enabled ROMS, and went for Stock froyo and capped it at a 30FPS refresh rate and it's running very smooth, no lag at all

(remember to enable multi-touch in the emu settings)

If i buy this it will only be for the tomb raider games, anyone know how well they work on the HTC Desire?

I tested Tomb Raider 3 (NTSC) and it's running perfectly

I also tested Tomb Raider 2 (PAL) and it crashed upon loading a "New Game" or "Lara's House" but the NTSC version may be fine, give it a go.

GT2 Arcade seems to run a bit laggy. Its not bad though considering.

Any reason why the tomb raider games dont work? I wanted to play the last revelation but like the first and second it crashed when loading a new game i hear the noises but sticks at loading screen

Gt2 arcade is very laggy. Tried everything with fps and scale.

Was better with set cpu, system panel and data off + fresh boot and blank scene.

Still unplayable though. You can tell its lag by the audio

Daddycee, I'm on a class 4 mc which should be enough but what have you got?

I'm on the standard 4GB MicroSD that came with the phone.

Have you tried any other games yet?

Crash Bandicoot 2 is not too bad
FF Origins is okay, music is a bit laggy
Gonna try Bomberman shortly

Perhaps this thing will be better under FroYo when it eventually arrives.

Well Bomberman works great, one of the better running games on 2.1 update1 it appears.

its really good, just wish the desire could rotate the screen the other way as well and having the trackball on the left side would be good instead of the right side.

Not quite as well as teh desire I would expect. I haven't got it running properly yet so not sure if its hardware that is holding it back.

Go to psx4droid settings, under user settings switch Screen upside-down on and voila.

Downloaded this via the market and it downloaded fine. Have read the read through and although i have no idea what any of it means i am now downloading the original gran turismo...395mb? bloody hell.

Will edit post when it's a) downloaded and b) i've got it working or thrown my phone through the window!

Still have a phone! Works well but there is an issue with the sound(its a wee bit tinny) and if you choose auto gears it doesn't accelerate(tho that could be me!)

Also don't use tilt for steer...it's bloody manic!
