I need to store some test data on a database on a server so my app can pull them in specified intervals.

Does anyone know whether Google will let developers use their database engine on one of their servers for testing apps ? I need to store the test data on the server and the client app will pull the data from the Google server every 5 minutes.

On the client side, should I load the data onto SQLite ?

That said, I might not need the persistence as I intend to update the data every 300 seconds ?

Then again, it will have several dozen records of about 200 bytes each and only one or two fields need to be updated or a whole record deleted, so a SQLfile may be more efficient. The whole SQLlite file needs to persist for a day .

PS: I will need to use nvarchar (unicode).
