Putting music on HTC Desire, "artist unknown"

Hi there,

This is my first post...

I have a question/ query about putting music onto my HTC Desire. The problem isnt actually putting it on... it's about information related to each song/ album e.g Artist. Whenever i put music onto my phone it ALWAYS shows the artists as Unknown Artist, despite on my computer i have made sure that all the information for each song is correct.

It's getting annoying! Am i doing something wrong? I thought it would just be case of dragging and dropping, didnt think it would affect the song details..?

I think we need a bit more info... MP3? Stock HTC player?

It's probably worth downloading the free application "Audio Tagger" from the market and seeing what this reports.

Any music player?! Any music player does it, or shall i say, doesn't do it.

My friends who also has a Desire seems to get the same problem. Is the best way to use HTC Sync? Or to drag and drop?

Also i dont get why this has been moved into Desire HD?? :S
