I have read and read on these forums and remember I am new to all of this so I might have read the answer but didn't understand. Ok here is the question.

I am on the GB .595 and it is great. I wanted to try out some themes and I see there are not very many but how exactly do I do it. I do not want to lose my GB. I went through the long 3 zip files to get the GB. There is the watercolor theme that I want to try so can any one give me the steps on how to do this and the steps on how to get back the GB stock with out sbf ing . Like I said I am sure I have read in some form how to do this but unless it is written in pink crayon I just don't understand. Thanks for your help guys.

Also what exactly is zombie stomp. Is that a rom or theme?. Sorry if my questions are dumb.

Edit: I guess I just realized that zombiestomp is a ROM so I guess my question for that would be do I lose my GB if I install that and would I install ZS the same way I did apex on froyo?

first thing make a backup in Clockwork Recovery

Then as long as you apply theme's for .595 you should be able to restore back to your back up of regular .595 and be ok.

This may also work if you put a rom on as well. but someone else may want to confirm this.

I haven't done any theme'ing or rom'ing since i got on GB cause honestly i'm pretty pleased with it as it is.

also know that a backup of a .595 build will only work (as in you can only restore it) on a .595 build. You can't restore a backup of Froyo onto a GB build or the other way around.

I hope i didn't confuse you even more lol.

Thanks for the reply.

Now is clockwork recovery the d2 bootloader or the dx bootloader or is it something different?

yeah, flashing zombiestomped would be the same as flashing any other rom. just make sure you are on the deodexed version of .595 it wouldn't hurt to have gingerbreak on your phone too just in case you lose root for some reason

I have another question. If I am Flashing "I think that is what I am doing" different ROMs and different themes over my GB 595 do I need to do a data/factory reset or do I just wipe cache partition or both?

If I do a data/factory reset will I lose my GB 595?

and what is the difference, Sorry if it sounds silly but what do each of them do? I mean what is the point of doing it?

Thanks

A factory reset will put you back to Froyo (I believe. it's been a while). A cache wipe just removes old files/settings from your phone because the old Froyo stuff isn't compatible with GB. I think I got this right. They say it's like riding a bike, once you learn you never forget. Not true. Once you learn, keep doing it, or else you forget anyway.....lol
