I opened a gmail account and synced it up with my new htc desire.
Amazingly, it pulls in mails from my main email account.
I don't think I asked it to do this. It just did it.
And I love it!
Can anyone explain how that happened?
And can I get it to aggregate all my emails from all my accounts?
Any help and tips gratefully accepted.

If you look at the back of your phone, it probably says "with Google"
That is exactly what your phone is supposed to do. Work with your gmail. If fact, you have to have a gmail account to use all the functions of any android phone, like accessing the market.

The best way I have found of doing it is to use my gmail as a sort of Outlook for all the other emails.
You can go into the settings in your gmail on a PC and add all your other emails into it.
The gmail then sends a confirmation mail to the other mails you have set up.
Then you log on to each mail and set it up to automatically forward to your gmail address.
You can then set gmail to reply using the address that forwarded it originally.
I use this for my hotmail and I have set my hotmail to NOT leave a copy in the original inbox only in the gmail inbox where it has forwarded to.
Then within gmail I have set up filters so that each email address that forwards mail does so into its own folder within gmail so that it has its own inbox.
It makes my hotmail into a push mail and also to be able to use the gmail app which is the best app for displaying mail in its correct format.

I hope that was clear enough.

I don't know what capabilities O2 mail has though and whether it has forwarding capabilities or not.
