Ok, so I rooted my Eris, say, a month before the official was released, but I don't remember what version I put on my phone (between the original, the new leak and the 2.1 leak). Is there any way to check and see which version I have... or is it ok if I just got ahead and start installing ROMs on it?

I'm usually pretty tech savvy, but for some reason, this is all way over my hear.

So if I do this, will it erase my phone?

    ??? ???

Forgive me...I'm a little confused (not an entirely unsual state ).

Did you figure-out what version / ROM you were running and didn't you already say you were rooted?

And by "this", do you mean installing a custom ROM? (if yes, then, yes, installing a custom ROM will replace your currently install setup).

Tell us a little more about your current setup...

I actually just went ahead and did it. I have a Droid X too so I just wanted to upgrade the Eris. I use both phones.

I ended up erasing everything but I got it all figured out! Thanks though!

Love my Eris. Love my Droid X.

    Cheers!
