Root Question about Overclocking

    I understand overclocking, I have been overclocking PCs for years.

    This is aimed our our devices specifically.

    Our device has 4 normal speeds 1000Mhz, 800Mhz, 60Mhz and 300Mhz.

    I understand raising the top 2 which is were a user is doing something on the phone that needs CPU. Why raise the lower ones?

    It seems that keeping them stock or lowering them would help offset the increased power drain for the upper 2.

    I don't see that impact user experience at all.

    The only reason I can think to raise the lower settings is to come out of sleep faster
