Help Question about pattern unlock and emergency calls

I see that a similar has been asked about the HTC Thunderbolt and I assume it will be the same for the Nexus S, but I want to be sure. I just added a pattern unlock to my phone and I see the emergency call button at the bottom. I don't want to test this, so I will ask instead: If I hit that button, will it automatically call 911 or, like the Thunderbolt, will it simply bring up the dial pad? If it does bring up the dial pad, is there a danger of pocket dialing? This was the whole point of me putting in the pattern unlock.
