question about receiving picture messagesv

I am having trouble receiving pic text messages on my eris. It will ask me to download it and then it tells me it could not download. Another problem i am having is when i take a picture and try to send it it says file to big to send. Is there something that i can change in the settings to.cure this

Yes, use Handcent SMS. It will re-size a pic if it's too big to send and allows you to save pics from your text messages. Creates a folder in you albums called "downloads" where it saves the pics from text messages. Very good program!

I had the same issue with picture messages saying they were downloading, then never showing up. I was on the phone with VZW for about 40 minutes trying to figure out the problem. The tech had me factory reset the phone ... it didn't work and rendered my phone unable to receive SMS so I cancelled the phone on the account, then reactivated it about 10 minutes later. From then on it's worked just fine.

FWIW, I'm using Handcent. Much better than the native messaging client.

Where do i find handset sms and it is from all carriers that i cannot receive pics

I could not find it in the market place. My wife has the exact same phone and. She has no problems. Syouldnt this phone accept pic messages right out of the box

Ok found it and installed it and it still says cant download. This is starting to irritate me

ok, so after spending an hour on the phone with verizon last night, they ended up doing a master reset and now everything works fine. Must have been a bug in the system or something. hope this doesnt happen again
