Long press on a text area, select input method and then change it to multi-touch.

Out of curiosity, for those new to Swype, how do you like it? I've messed with it in both portrait and landscape mode and I can definitely see its appeal, but I can type far faster than I can "swipe".

I can swype fast but I feel I need to go through and proof read afterward because the words aren't always right so the multi-touch is faster overall.
