Assuming you're clean-shaven, or have some facial hair like a mustache, but still have to shave the rest of your face: does shaving daily drive you nuts?

It would me! I would feel so annoyed and unhappy about having to shave every day, just because I want my face visible. I would view it as an unwanted, dreaded chore, and a waste of time I could've spent on something else.

So, guys, what's your relationship with this daily drudgery, er, necessity? Love it, hate it, wish you could stop but can't for some reason, etc.?

Just do it (most days). Wastes a bit of time but not much worse than brushing teeth. Far less than those women who wear makeup spend on hiding their faces anyway ;).

I agree, it's no worse than brushing your teeth in the morning.
As a man you just do it.
Skipping days is a pain as it gets tougher to shave the longer it grows

I shave, nearly every morning in the shower, but when I feel like I am running out of time, I skip it and just do not shave until the morning after. I do not like wearing my reddish tint chin candy either, makes me feel old and anquite. :)

Shaving is simply a part of life, like others have said, no different then women having to put makeup daily to go out, or lotions and products, LOL

I too sometimes I simply skip a day and then shave the next day. No Biggie.

There's a deeper issue here. Shaving is part of my masculinity. Facial hair is a secondary sex characteristic. I sport a trimmed beard, the length of which depends on the season. My bride looks at my beard. It is attractive to her. I find feminine characteristics attractive to me. In fact, my beard has become part of my male identity and I cherish it. Because I wear a beard, I shave my neck and my upper cheeks and I'm done. Every once in awhile I'll trim it with a Barber's electric trimmer to keep it shorter. It's not a hassle to me at all, it's part of my routine.

Shaving was fun the first few times. You sort of get over it after you turn 14 or so. I don't necessarily dislike shaving but if my beard quit growing I wouldn't be upset. Letting it go, as someone mentioned, is not an option. It is super brutal using an electric razor skipping a day. My advice is just don't do it. Shave, brush teeth, comb hair.. it's how to start the day.

I shave every other day. Harry's razor. If I shave everyday it irritates my neck. Really only takes a few minutes to shave.

Yep, just as good as Gillete. Way cheaper, and they get delivered every few months. I filled out a survey when I signed up and they send me blades based on the frequency I shave. I probably have an extra 4 pack or two, but I just toss them in travel bags camper, etc.

Damn, you guys are surprising me! :)

I don't know why, but I think about stuff like this, even though it can never affect me. The shaving thing has been the most frequent of these odd things I ponder. And I would've bet a ton of money that everyone would find shaving a cumbersome, annoying, "wish I didn't have to do it" chore.

Lest anyone wonders about the female analogy, shaving my legs--I don't! Oh, I did for years and years. Then I developed lymphedema in my legs, and its orange-peel skin and lymphatic fluid-filled blisters meant no more shaving. I'm *so* good with that. :D

I keep my beard trimmed close with only an occasional shaving.. Shaving every day is a PITA and just isn't worth my time anymore.

Only use Shick disposable razor blades too. None can cut my hairs so closey though, but my beard's hair is getting more tougher on me, either white, red, brown hair against my blade..

I have a beard, I don't have time to shave daily
I had let it grow out since December and had stopped triming it back in March. About two weeks ago I actually went to a barber and had it trim a little bit.

I only actually shave a few times a year. I trim my goatee and moustache and when I do that I trim the rest. I hate shaving with a passion.
