I was thinking of rooting my phone because I'm tired of all these sprint bloatware things constantly loading on my phone. However if I root do I loose the ability to get updates via sprint? I really like the phone just wish I didnt have all this sprint crap on it.

Basically I want my phone exactly as it is, just without the bloatware. Is unEVOked able to do that ? I dont care to use custom roms as I'm happy with whatever stock is.

The thread above says that you don't want to delete the bloatware, but just freeze those programs. Read up and it'll fill you in.

Freeze instead of uninstall. It is much more convenient anyways, in the event that you happen to need one of those apps.
