AT&T sold the X10 on contract anyone think there's a chance they do that same with the Arc? Based on the past can Sony Ericsson devices be easily modded?

I recall the x10 was completely rooted and ROM I think it will stay that way. So I don't believe they lock it down

Thanks. Hopefully AT&T gets this phone. If the Atrix has the issue that was being discussed today I may go with the Arc.

Hopefully it changes with the arc but the x10 was really locked down it took a long time for the xda devs to root and put roms on it, even know it still is not running roms perfect like the hd2, and others.

SE wont release the bootloader, as already said the X10 is heavily locked and i dont expect the Arc to be any easier to root/modify once released but maybe methods used for the X10 will lead to faster modding of the Arc
