Hey all, I'm looking to getting a Motorola Defy (2.2) or a Samsung Galaxy 550 (2.1), I was wondering if both of these have support for Microsoft Outlook out of the box preferably. I'm after syncing with Contacts, Calendar, etc. Will these have support for ActiveSync? Also what can you guys tell me about user friendliness? I'm pretty uneducated on smartphones and I'm after something I can pick up and use and get acquainted with pretty easily without having to read manuals / struggle to figure things out. Thanks. edit - this definitely isn't WYSIWYG formatting.. sorry for the mini-wall of text.

See Sync Android/Droid with Outlook/Exchange for Outlook sync options.

Are you looking to sync with just Outlook? With Exchange (since you mention ActiveSync)? Both? Something else (Exchange isn't the only mail server supporting ActiveSync)?

That's a highly subjective matter. Have you tried the devices you're considering at all to determine how easily you can pick them up? That's your best bet. What's easy for one person isn't necessarily so for the next so don't rely on just reading.
