Help questuons about music players

It seems that no matter what music app I use wether it be factory or downloaded they always show " unknown artest" in my play list I click on them to see what they are and there short clips that sound like sound eeffects from some of my downloaded apps is there any way to keep them off the playlist ? Will it hurt anything if I delete them? Thanks in advance for the help

Find the folder those files are in and create a file in it simply called .nomedia. I use Root Explorer to do it. It also works for pictures and videos you don't want showing up in your gallery apps.
