What's the difference between BFS and CFS? I'm using CM7.1 with ICS Launcher and testing out new kernels because I want better battery life.

BFS is designed to focus on the main app installed, and process everything around the open app.

CFS is built around multi-tasking power. In general most people will prefer CFS because you notice less issues. If your a single app kind of person use BFS since your focused, but your scrolling, and swiping actions will be a little more laggy.

Yeah, they stand for Constant Fair Scheduler and Brain **** Scheduler. A quick google search will give you a better explanation than I could ever give.

no limit is spot on on what they both are. here is a guide that might help you out:

though most of the terminology applies to froyo sense kernels which mostly centered around netarchy toastmod's kernels. the way kernels are designed for gingerbread are slightly different and the same goes for aosp kernels as well.

do not be sorry for one thing. this forum was designed to help and answer questions. and there really is no such thing as a stupid question. actually the only stupid question is the one that is not asked. so please feel free to ask as many questions as you like.
