Quick question new android user

Hi guys I have seen some forums saying add apps to your sd card etc.problem is when I connect my phone to my computer it shows all my files but no sd card.how do I get apps onto my sd card?

Hi Zolah, on the phone, pull down the notification bar at the top of the screen, click the USB option and click 'Mount'

To take it off the PC, eject it on your PC, then go back to the notification bar and 'Turn off USB'

Yeah i do that and the window pops up on my pc showing transfer pictures show files etc. When i go onto show files it shows all my devices files but no sd card file or /sd...

Those are the files on your SD card, so you should now be seeing files such as Android, DCIM, files with the names of your apps. Are these there? If not there might be a driver issue.

I'll be the guy to ask the obvious......

are you using 2.2 (Froyo) OR are you rooted and using a custom rom with A2SD

if youre still on 2.1 (or lower) and unrooted then you cannot put apps on your SD

you can't put apps on sdcard until you get updated to 2.2, unless you root.
