quick sim card question

Hi everyone!

I just got my galaxy nexus, and when I went to put in my SIM card in the back, a small slither of the back of my sim card scratched off (I'm using a micro sim with an adapter). I took the slither out and turned my phone on-- phone and everything is working just fine. I guess what I'm asking is if I need to go back in and "fix" it. It's getting a bit hot when I use it very lightly (check my email for example), although I don't know if this is normal or not. Does anyone know?

Hmm it's actually getting a good bit hot...does anyone know if this is normal?

i would go get a new sim card, you could experience other problems later on if the copper part of the sim is what is scratched
