I would like to thank my Ipod for a solid four years of music playing, however I regret to inform everyone that my droid murdered it last night. It now rest in peace in my computer desk drawer for the rest of eternity. Now that I have the droid I have no use for it, and am happy I don't have to carry the damn thing around.

I also lay to rest my LG dare, you were great for the year I had you but honestly, you were just a plain old phone with a touch screen. You will (not) be missed.

If you would like to lay to rest your old device, feel free to reply.

I had to tell my wife I would still use my iPod because she got it for me for Christmas last year, she looked so sad when I told her I could listen to music on the phone.

My last phone was a crippled Blackberry 7105t that I picked up off of eBay for $20. I never got the data plan for it and never really bothered with software so it was pretty much a chunky cell phone for me.

Adding to the list (proving I really need a life). I am only going back to 2004:

    Treo 600 (My first smartphone)
Treo 650 (wanted BT and a removable battery)
Treo 700p (lost my 650 3 days before a cross country move)
Moto Q Black (1st WinMo device)
    HTC xv6800 (bored on eBay)
    Samsung i760 (almost perfect phone!)
    Samsung Omnia (briefly)
    BB 8830 (bored again)
BB Storm (Enjoyed it, time to move on)
DROID by Motorola (i760 with better OS and better keyboard)

New frontier to explore, new stuff to learn... You'll be seeing me post quite a bit intially. Asking q's to start, maybe answering them a bit later on.

PLEASE don't mention the i760! I'm still in mourning for my dear dear friend. I had set a side button for speech control and idk about the keyboard. So far I like it better than the Droid's.

We are talking about the same Samsung i760 right? Black one with small touchscreen, looked and felt like a brick? Had to push the screen for it to respond?

Yes. You could fend off muggers with that thing. Very industrial. Dust caps for everything.

Too bad I assumed the camera would be better in the Droid since the Samsung was only 1.3MP.

Can I still participate even though I don't have my Droid just yet?
    Okay I'll play anyways. :)

    [Future me talking]
Goodbye iPhone 3GS. You were a great device but after 3 years of iPhones, I'm just bored of you and I'm excited to make the switch to Android.
Goodbye BlackBerry Curve. A solid, reliable workhorse. I'm sorry to have to see you go.
Goodbye BlackBerry Bold. I love everything about you and I still will even though I won't get to use you after my switch to Verizon. I hope we can still be friends though. :p
