R: instead of Re: in my HTC G1 Gmail answers

Hello, I'm new to Android. I just bought a Htc G1 and, as soon as I replied my first email with the Gmail app, I realized that my replies were formatted as "R:" and not as "Re:", invalidating the whole Gmail feeling that the Android app supports.

Hoe can I get rid of that R: without manually adding the little "e" to every reply subject I'm sending?
