From what I understood they plan on releasing it for Android and why not. It may not make it onto older Android devices, but not everything in the apple world works with iOS 4, I have had apps that flat our crash and will not run on my iPod Touch 4G.

I will try it on my iPad tonight if there is a demo version but at 750 megs, not sure if anything is worth all that for my use.

I think if Android ever sees anything like this its only going to be for phones like EPIC, EVO and maybe the Droids atleast for the high quality versions.

OK, I broke down and bought Rage HD for my iPad 3G for $1.99 and it is sweet. Only gripe is how much space it takes at over 750 megs.

FWIW, I don't really play movies or games on my EVO or even when I had an iPhone as the screens are to small IMO. On the larger iPad these things are great.

I can't help but think that if you're worried about a silly phone based game, you are worrying too much. It would be kinda cool if it gets released for Android devices, but I wouldn't lose a minute of sleep over it if it didn't.

I can't imagine a touchscreen based control works that well for FPS, anyway. Of course, if it supports Bluetooth mouse and keyboard.... ;)

I thought the same thing before I started playing sniper vs sniper on my phone.

It's actually a rail shooter, sort of like Panzer dragoon. You don't control the movement, only the aiming and shooting.

Indeed - there is only so much one can get wound up about something they will most likely much around with for 30 mins and then never use again

I guess you have never played games on the iPad. There are many FPS and other great games and usually the movement controller is near the bottom left of the screen and the fire and other things are on the right.

Like I said above, I do not like games or even movies on small devices like the iPhone and EVO but it would be nice for others to have a choice as some like them. If the iPhone can do it, the EVO should be able to also.

I think a lot of Android people would love a game like this and others available only on the iPhone or iPad. Thats the point I was thinking. If things never come to Android, even if some don't like them, Android might overtake the iPhone in sheer numbers but always lack in variety of apps.

Thats why I have an Android Phone and an Apple iPad not a Samsung or other Android tablet. I can get the best of everything as for the foreseeable future, Apple is where the newest and ground breaking apps will be first or maybe only.

Yawn. I'd rather have a Windows 7 tablet with capable GPU/processor combo, and run real games (though admittedly most games wouldn't play nice with touch-based interface, but Civ 5 and other turn-based games, why not).
